About This Event: Dr. Hao Wang (王昊博士) is a zoologist and a leading expert in wildlife conversation in China and has made a significant contribution to the restoration of the panda population in China. After having studied pandas for decades, he’s now heading cutting edge efforts to save other animal species and conserve entire regions in China.

The Struggling Learner: Understanding the Signs and How to Help

About This Event: When children encounter persistent difficulties in school, they attempt to show us that they are struggling in different ways. Some may become quiet and withdrawn, while others may act out. This workshop, led by Drs. Nicole Katz and Tara Deluco, will help parents recognize academic and behavioral indicators of a struggling learner, understand the process of seeking additional information and evaluation, and learn about available supports and interventions.
